School Highlights

- The 7th and 8th grade Orchestra students earned Superior rating at GMEA for Large Group Performance Evaluations.
- Sixteen Sweetwater students received Superior ratings at GMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival.
- A group of 6th Grade students and one individual received 3rd Place in the GCPS Regional Science Fair for "Hair is Not Just Beauty" and "SIP" project submissions.
- Sweetwater hosted four food drives this year giving out over 1,000 food baskets in our community.
- One 8th grade student was awarded State Media Video Animation Superior Award.
- Sweetwater Boys Soccer Team placed 2nd Place in the Middle School Club league.
- Our 8th Grade Band received an excellent rating at Large Group Performances Evaluations.
- Eight 6th graders students participated in the District 13 First year Honor Band.
- Sweetwater had nine students participate in Solo and Ensemble, and all performers received a Superior Rating.
- One of our 8th grade Language Arts Teacher won 2nd Runner Up Literacy for Life Teacher of the Year Award.
- Sweetwater is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
