Centerville offered several student leadership programs and clubs in 2022-23 including Young Ladies of Distinction, Peer Leaders, Student Advisory Council, and Student Ambassadors.

The Centerville All Pro Dads program involved approximately 50 dads. They participated in several parent learning sessions along with their child(ren) to increase their knowledge on building better relationships with each other and supporting their child at school. Dads also had opportunities to volunteer at the school supervising students in the cafeteria and on the playground.

Centerville utilized the Book Vending Machine donated by Walton EMC to support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) and Literacy. Each month students were recognized and rewarded for demonstrating positive behavior and academic growth. They were able to receive a book that promoted student engagement in literacy.

Centerville hosted several events to support parent and student engagement: Curriculum Night, Parent Teacher Conferences, International Night, Black History, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Night, Literacy on the Lawn, Diamonds and Denim Sweetheart Dance, Spring Chorus production, Cluster Fall Festival, Cluster-wide Kindergarten Registration Event, and Cluster Food Truck donation host.

Centerville students, staff, and parents participated in schoolwide listening campaigns with the administration to determine the school's future focus.

Centerville implemented a schoolwide intervention block for all students (What I Need "WIN") providing students with tiered interventions to support academic needs. Centerville continued schoolwide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) implementation with morning meetings and focused SEL lessons and events.

Centerville students and staff participated in community and civic events, including the Mock Election, Veterans Day Celebration, community toiletry drive, the United Way Campaign, student Principal and Assistant Principal for the Day, and community member Principal for the Day.

Centerville staff participated in professional learning in the areas of Multisensory Strategies for Reading Instruction and Orton-Gillingham strategies for reading to better support students' needs in reading. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade staff participated in professional learning to support the new mathematics program, Reveal.

Centerville offered an Extended Learning Program (after school) for students in grades 1–5 in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. Students also received additional support to master the curriculum by participating in Response to Intervention and the Early Intervention Program (EIP).

Centerville offered several parent workshops that aligned to the school's Local School Plan for Improvement to increase student achievement in mathematics, reading, science, and technology. Workshops included information on how to support multi-language learners, how to prepare for academic assessments, and how to prepare for transitions for rising kindergartners and 6th graders.

Centerville Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
