School Highlights
The following school highlights showcase how Level Creek Elementary School is fulfilling Gwinnett County Public School's four strategic priorities of Empathy, Equity, Effectiveness, and Excellence. Visit the School Profile Dashboard to find more detailed data on our school.
- Level Creek Elementary School (LCES) is recognized by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement as a Highest Performing School and as a Greatest Gains School at the Platinum level under Georgia’s Single Statewide Accountability System. This places Level Creek in the top 1% of schools statewide for academic success!
- LCES offers Dual Language Immersion (DLI), where two classes in each grade learn Math and Science through complete Immersion in the Spanish language K-5. DLI students continue learning in both languages through high school. These DLI students will be fully bilingual and biliterate in Spanish. Additionally, they will be eligible for a college minor in Spanish upon high school graduation.
- All LCES students receive Specials instruction in Art, Music, PE, Health, Leadership, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and Technology (coding & keyboarding).
- LCES gifted students receive pull-out instruction from FOCUS teachers. Also, 98% of grade 1-5 teachers are gifted certified. Additionally, Advanced Content Math is offered to both gifted and regular-education LCES students in grades 2-5.
- Incoming kindergarten students have the opportunity to participate in a week-long KinderDaze Summer Camp that builds excitement and familiarity prior to their first day of school.
- Students at LCES had the opportunity to participate in the following clubs: Art, Chess, Chorus, Fitness, Good News, Guitar, Piano, Readers Rally, Robotics, Safety Patrol, Spanish, STEM, Taekwondo, and Technology.
- All LCES students can access 1-1 Chromebooks at school and at home. While this benefits student productivity, students are off computers throughout the day; interpersonal interaction is key to learning!
- Level Creek’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) engages and empowers the LCES community to advocate for all children by helping create quality educational experiences and a nurturing environment. The PTA ensures LCES students and teachers have access to new technology, upgraded playground equipment, improved facilities, grants for teachers, events (Spring Carnival, Heritage Night, Movie Nights, Bingo Nights, talent show, and many more!) campus beautification, classroom coordinators, All Pro Dads club, Arts in Education, Reflections, and so much more!
- Teacher teams meet bi-weekly for common instructional planning to design quality learning experiences for students. Additionally, LCES teachers frequently observe each other to learn best practices for instruction and student well-being.
- LCES staff and students participate in grade-level service projects which allow students to learn the value of giving back to the community. It also gives our students the structure and experience to complete future projects in the community.
