Our Principal

  • Dr. Brenda F. Johnson

    Dear Baldwin Families,

I am deeply honored to serve as principal of Baldwin Elementary School. There is something very special about the Norcross Community. Whether you are new to the area or have lived here for a long time, I would like to formally welcome you home.

We are proudly named in honor of Beauty P. Baldwin, an extraordinary educator and community leader. Her legacy of service and commitment to students is detailed in our “About Us” tab on our website.

I look forward to working with all stakeholders to build an extraordinary school that will serve our children and our community. I have been an educator for a little over 24 years. Prior to opening Baldwin in the Fall of 2016, I served as principal of Centerville Elementary School in the Shiloh Cluster. I also served as assistant principal at both Ferguson and Minor Elementary Schools.

At Baldwin, our motto is “Engage and Motivate ALL Students to Achieve Excellence.” We offer a number of academic programs to challenge and energize students as they become 21st century leaders! We are excited about our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program that allows students to learn the curriculum in both English and Spanish. Our innovative STEM Labs provide students with an opportunity to explore the world of science, technology, engineering/robotics, and mathematics. In addition, we offer a host of clubs and enrichment programs to spark creativity and exploration. Please take a moment to visit our website for more information about our academic programs, clubs, and parent information.

My priority at Baldwin is to create a safe school environment where students are challenged with a rigorous, relevant, and engaging curriculum.

    Again, welcome home!

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Brenda F. Johnson,
    Principal

The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is a vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.
