- RENEW, aka Life Academy, is a mentoring program designed to nurture and empower 8th-grade male students. The RENEW program provides in-depth and holistic support to our young men through exposure, volunteerism, self-reflection, mentorship, and opportunities that help them maximize their greatest potential. Our scholars have participated in workshops on professionalism, effective communication skills, and mastering peer relationships and visited Morehouse College, Grayson Tech, and Maxwell High School.
- Couch Middle School hosts Noche Latina Night each fall to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Student cultural performances of dance, music, food, and the arts highlight the celebration. During the spring, Couch hosts an International Night where the widely diverse and beautiful cultures of the Grayson cluster are honored and celebrated. Over 800 attendees have participated in the fall and spring festivities, where students demonstrated their powerful connections and passions for their cultures through music, dance, drama, arts, food, and inspiring fellowship.
- Fall of 2022, Couch Middle School opened the Couch Canteen, which is organized and operated by our levels 3 and 4 Autism students. The Couch Canteen is a coffee shop that offers our Couch staff a wide variety of drinks and snacks. The shop allows our Autistic students to develop and enhance transferable life skills, such as effective communication, social and professional etiquette, and ownership and responsibility.
