- Magill Elementary School celebrated 25 years of excellence. J.C. Magill's son, Chris Magill, attended the festivities.
- All students at Magill Elementary School get the opportunity to take a Computer Science special. In these classes they learn the building blocks of how computers work, laying the foundation for further coursework that they will be able to take in middle school.
- Students at Magill have an opportunity to join various clubs like Kidz Life, Girls on the Run, Chorus, Drummers, Elite Steppers, Robotics, News Crew, Girl Scouts, and more.
- All students at Magill Elementary School get the opportunity to take a Technology special. In these classes, they learn keyboarding skills, practice digital citizenship, and reinforce foundational literacy and math skills.
- At Magill, we celebrate our students and help them feel they belong through activities like Cultural Heritage Night.
- Magill ES was the recipient of the Walton EMC School EmPOWERment Grant program. This grant allows schools in nearby communities to boost their instructional and service programs by funding worthwhile projects. Funds were used to enhance our school's sensory room.
- All students participated in Morning Meetings and SEL lessons. As a result, discipline data showed a decrease in major incident referrals.
- Magill staff and community members are collaborating to refurbish our outdoor classroom.
- Because self-care is important, a Staff Wellness Room was created at Magill this year.
- Magill Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
