Baldwin teachers and students kicked off the 2022 – 2023 school year with our Back Together theme to celebrate being back to class; back to learning; back to friends; and back to fun!

Baldwin continued to offer a kindergarten readiness program, Play 2 Learn, for children ages 2–5. Twice a week, children and their parents work with a certified readiness teacher to learn key skills through play, including numbers, letters and sound recognition, motor skills, socialization, mathematics, and literacy.

In February, Baldwin's Health and Physical Education Department kicked off a successful Heart Health campaign that got students and staff active and eating healthy!

In February, Baldwin hosted a Black History Program honoring the leaders impacting our future generation. Honorees included Beauty P. Baldwin, Major Craig Newton of Norcross, Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson from the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, Dr. Calvin J. Watts, GCPS Superintendent, and other district and community leaders.

Our annual Namesake Day was held in March to honor the legacy of Mrs. Beauty P. Baldwin. Student leaders, educators, and community partners received awards for their work, partnership, and service in the Norcross community.

Baldwin offered the following student leadership opportunities and clubs: Chorus, Robotics, Readers Rally, Running Club, Student Council, and Peer Leaders.

Our Robotics team, the Baldwin Bluebots, competed and placed at regionals.

Baldwin's inaugural kindergarten Dual Language Immersion (DLI) cohort was promoted to Summerour Middle School to begin advanced placement language classes.

Baldwin offered a summer learning and enrichment program for over 200 students. The program was designed to close learning gaps in reading and math while providing opportunities for students to explore art, physical education, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) . All students received free breakfast and lunch during the summer program.

Baldwin received a $500 technology grant and other supplies from the Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
