    • 100% of Berkeley Lake students participate in Computer Science.

    • Berkeley Lake Elementary School (BLES)  is a "No Place for Hate" school. Students engaged in lessons throughout the year and participated in three schoolwide projects.

    • The BLES Robotics Team was recognized as a state qualifier for the 22-23 school year.

    • BLES partnered with the Gwinnett Master Gardeners and received a grant to expand our pollinator gardens. Students use the gardens to experience authentic learning opportunities that align to our science AKS.

    • Berkeley Lake Elementary experienced a record year for fundraising and purchased a book vending machine for students to access free books through PBIS.

    • During the 22-23 school year, BLES increased their focus on student and staff well-being through the implementation of schoolwide restorative practices, opening our student and staff "Zen Dens", and providing targeted small group support by our school counselors.

    • BLES increased the extracurricular opportunities for students by offering new clubs. Extra-curricular opportunities included: Chorus, Chess Club, Green Team, K-Kids, IT Girls, Reading Club, Club Invention, and Robotics Team.

    • Through community partnerships, BLES received a $10,000 donation from RHP Properties and Adopt-a-Classroom. All of the funds were evenly distributed to every classroom.

    • This year, BLES increased opportunities for family engagement. Family engagement nights included: Curriculum Night, Literacy Night, the Bear Scare Event, STEAM Night, International Night, BINGO Night, and Family Fun Night. Additionally, BLES offered multiple family workshops and classes, including: Annual Title I meeting, Weekly English Classes, SEL/Restorative Practices workshop, Gifted Student workshop, Sixth Grade Transition workshop, Kindergarten Transition workshop, Multilingual Learner family workshop, Title I Planning Meeting, and the family engagement BLES Podcast.

    • Berkeley Lake is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
