The GCPS school district has purchased a new program for College and Career exploration called Naviance. Seniors applying to colleges through Common App will need to match their Common App account and their Naviance account. Find the entire Naviance Senior Lesson here.

- Follow these instructions to match your accounts.
- Requesting Teacher Recs for College Applications

- Complete a Brag Sheet
- Ask your teacher if they would be willing to write a letter on your behalf.
- Submit your request in Naviance
- Requesting Transcripts

- Pay the transcript fee in MyPaymentsPlus ($5 per transcript).
- Follow the directions for requesting your transcript in Naviance.
- Matching your Common App and Naviance account

Brookwood High School College and Career Room
The College and Career Room is YOUR room in the Counseling Office. It is there for you to research colleges, vocational and technical schools, careers and scholarships.
Through research materials, catalogs, dvd's, software programs, and internet access, you will be able to explore all your options. You can even pick up SAT and ACT registration packets there. Please come by and check out our wonderful resources!

Need a counselor recommendation?
Complete Student and Parent Brag Sheets (linked below) to request one from your assigned counselor.
Note: Your counselor needs 2 weeks (10 school days) to complete a letter of recommendation. Plan accordingly.
Application Fee Waiver

(Download HERE):
- For Seniors who are approved by GCPS for the Free/Reduced Meal Program, submit this request to colleges to request the application fee be waived.
- Read and follow the directions on page 2 of the form.
- Bring your completed form to A1 (Counseling) so that school personnel can verify your free/reduced lunch status.
- Contact the college admissions office to see how you need to submit the form to them in order for your application fee to be waived.
