Students do not have to be a member of the marching band, but we highly encourage them to try it! All instrumentalists in the Marching Band must be enrolled in a band class. Color Guard members do not have to be enrolled in a band class, but if Color Guard members are instrumentalists, they are encouraged to continue playing their instrument in a band class. If you decide not to be in marching band, you are considered a non-marching student, meaning you will have no regular after school rehearsals.
Rising 9th graders will receive more information about the Brookwood Band Program from your middle school.
