• Graphic Design Pathway

  • The Graphic Design Pathway consists of three courses that train students in industry standard software. Students learn about the business process and corporate branding while learning how to use Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. The classes build on each other as students create logos, posters, magazines, digital illustrations, basic animation and print production materials.

  • Intro to Graphic Design: Students learn the basics of all three programs and how they interact with each other. Students learn the functions and tools and are introduced to the elements and principles of successful design and basic color theory.

Graphic Design Production: Students focus on the production process and taking real world projects from idea to creation. Students develop deeper understandings of multipage formatting and large scale projects, culminating in a full magazine project

Advanced Graphic Design: Students master their skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and develop their professional online portfolio. Students learn about small business management, how to start off as a freelancer and how to interact, charge and communicate with clients. At the end of this course, students prepare to take the SkillsUSA Graphic Design Certification exam.
