• Community Service

  • Forge meaningful connections, help enrich your community, develop your soft skills, and have fun through volunteering in events throughout your time at Discovery High School! Participate individually or with friends through school or community-based groups and organizations. Discovery High School recognizes students who accumulate 100 or more service hours by awarding the DHS Service Medal and/or Diploma Seal.

What are the benefits of volunteering?

In addition to the feeling of fulfillment and the fun of working with your fellow community members, volunteering can help develop leadership and time management skills. To potential employers and college admissions, it displays interest, dedication, and citizenship.
