This organization is by invitation only. Your music teacher must nominate you and qualifications include maintaining a 90% average or higher in all music classes and at least a C average in academic classes. Student must also demonstrate service, character and leadership qualities. The purpose of Tri-M is for student musicians to become leaders and serve the community by helping with as many music concerts as possible, promoting music throughout the school, and supporting all music directors at DHS. Members receive the pink music cord to be worn at graduation once they have earned the required number of service hours and have shown dedication as a member of the Discovery High School Fine Arts program.
