The Academy of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) offers pathways in engineering, programming, and digital design. Students in this academy will have the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience through relevant and engaging learning experiences including project based learning, inquiry, design thinking, apprenticeships, and internships.  Students will use structured approaches, like the engineering design process, and employ STEM knowledge, skills, and habits of mind to take risks and overcome obstacles. Through scientific inquiry and application, critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and real-world problem solving, students will be empowered to pursue their area of interest while becoming scientifically, technologically, and mathematically literate. The creative and collaborative nature of the program engages students on multiple levels, exposes them to industry standard professional expectations and practices, and provides them with a strong foundation for their future and empowers them to make a positive contribution to society.
