The mission of the K-5 Language Arts and Literacy Office is for each and every student to receive a high-quality foundational and rigorous literacy education that prepares each student for success in secondary education and in life post-graduation. The Language Arts and Literacy Office is committed to building the capacity of our teachers to implement evidence-based instructional practices aligned to Science of Reading research for teaching the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS).
