    Core Resource Solicitation

    Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is soliciting print and/or digital core instructional resources and associated teacher materials for potential review, pilot, and adoption for courses in the following subject areas: 

    • Select High School Career, Technical and Agricultural Education

    •  Elementary, Middle, and High School Sex Education

    Here is the full list of courses that are included in this solicitation. For more information, please scroll down to view the overview video and learn more about our core resource requirements. Next, review the informational video for each subject area, note the specific course list, and click on the course names to review the standards.  Finally, reference the other supporting documents.  If you would like to submit resource(s) for consideration, please follow the steps listed at the bottom of the page.

  • Click on the link for each subject area to access the standards and other information for the courses. Resources that are submitted for consideration should align to the standards for the course.

  • The following documents are available for your reference and are subject to change. 

    General Information: 

    • Full List of Courses- In addition to reviewing the list of courses, click on the course name to reference the standards for each course. All resources that are submitted for review should align to the standards for the course. 
    • Common Questions & Answers- Click to access answers to common questions about the Expo, review, and pilot process. 
    • Resource Expo Maps- Note the physical address of the Expo, building entrances, and the locations of the Expo rooms. You will receive your specific room assignment(s) when you check in to Expo Set Up on February 1, 2024. 

     

    Sample Documents:

    Note: These sample documents are for reference only and no action is needed at this time. Please do NOT complete these forms to participate in the Expo or review process.  If selected for pilot, we will provide you with the most current version and ask for your completion at a later date. Please do NOT submit these documents unless you are requested to do so. 

    • Evaluation Form- This document includes many of the evaluation questions that are used during the review, selection, and pilot processes. While these specific questions are geared toward teachers, parents/ community members and students are also asked for feedback. 
    • Adoption Contract- A contract such as this would be used for any print and/or digital resources that are adopted for district-wide use.  A similar pilot contract containing much of the same verbiage will be used for resources selected for pilot. Please do not complete or submit this document at this time.     
    • Shipping Requirements- While this is part of the sample Adoption Contract above, we wanted to call your attention to the GCPS shipping requirements for any print materials that will be ordered. 
    • Technical Specifications- While this document is typically part of GCPS resource contracts, we wanted to call your attention to the technical specifications used in the majority of our digital resource single sign on integrations. Please note that this version of the document contains more recent updates regarding our technical standards. If you are selected for further review or pilot, we will discuss integration options with you. 
    • Architectural Review Board Questionnaire- This document may be required for digital platforms for pilot resources. Please do not complete or submit this document at this time. 
    • GCPS Data Privacy Agreement (including FERPA Requirements)- This document may be required for digital platforms for pilot resources. Please do not complete or submit this document at this time.   

Next Steps

  • 1. Participation Intent due Friday, January 5, 2024: If you plan to bring materials to the Resource Expo, please complete the Participation Survey.

    2. Materials Information due Monday, January 15, 2024: Vendors who have submitted the Participation Intent by the deadline will receive an email on January 9th requesting additional information about the materials you will bring to the Resource Expo.  While more instructions and specific forms will be provided at that time, please note the items that will be requested:

    • Materials Information Workbook - You will be asked to the following information for each resource/program you plan to bring to the Expo:

      • Name of the resource(s)/ program(s)

      • Print student edition or other primary component (e.g., ISBN and copyright)

      • Whether digital access is available

      • Information on any other components (e.g., teacher's edition, workbook, assessment packet, solutions manual) 

      • Digital demo account information, including url, username, and password to allow for a review of the digital format of your resource/ program. 
    • Digital Platform Questionnaire:  You or a technical representative from your company will be asked to provide information on the technical specifications for your digital platform. 
    • Diversity Information: You will be asked to provide information regarding diversity and positive representation in the resource(s)/ program(s) you are bringing to the Expo.  (Please view the Overview Video and Q&A document for more information on this request.)  

    3. Resource Expo Vendor Set Up: Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 12:00 noon- 3:30 PM EST

    4. Resource Expo Vendor Take Down: Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 12:00 noon- 2:00 PM EST
