About the Department

  • The Department of Communication and Community Relations is a service-oriented department in which all talents and resources are dedicated to building and maintaining stakeholder confidence in Gwinnett County Public Schools. The work of the department enhances the district’s ability to achieve its mission and goals by promoting effective communication and stakeholder relations that result in understanding of and support for the direction of the school system.

    The Communications and Media Relations team is available to coordinate news coverage with local media and arrange staff interviews. The media line, (678) 301-6022, is staffed during normal business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Calling the media line is the best and fastest way for the media to receive a response to requests.
