Physical Education allows students to be physically active during the school day. Basic skills that were taught in elementary school are used so students can be successful in a variety of individual/dual and team sports. Examples include badminton, pickleball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey, and team handball. There is an emphasis on fitness during each unit so students' cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and muscular strength/endurance will improve through the semester. Large group games such as capture the football, sharks and minnows, and downer ball will be played. Proper sports etiquette, team work, communication, and sportsmanship are expected at all times.
