  • STEP 1A | Face to Face Open House August 7th

     Face to Face Open House

This event is intended for those families new to Lanier Middle School.  Homeroom teachers will send invitations through email with instructions on how to reserve your 15 minute block of time.  Year long connection teachers will be in the cafeteria afterwards if you need to speak with them.

Out of respect and safety for all, the following guidelines will be in place for our face-to-face open house:

    • All employees and visitors are required to wear masks in common areas of the building and when sharing spaces with others.
    • Social distancing guidelines will be respected with teachers, students, and parents maintain 6 feet of distance from one another.
    • To limit the number of people in the building, only one parent is allowed per student; additional siblings, parents, and visitors will not be allowed.

As other teachers are meeting parents and students by appointment, students will only be able to sign up and meet with their homeroom teacher.

  • STEP 1B | Virtual Open House August 10th

     Virtual Open House

This event is intended to give parents a chance to meet virtually with their child's homeroom teacher.  Homeroom teachers will be sending instructions via email detailing how parents can sign up for a 10 minute block of time.

  • STEP 3 | Find My Student's Schedule

If you are experiencing issues accessing your student's schedule in the Parent Portal, we have determined that schedules are accessible within the "Gradebook" feature of the Parent Portal.  To access: login to the Parent Portal, select "Student Information," then select "Gradebook" from the tabs listed on the left side of the page.  Additionally, schedules are new available within the student portal.schedule alternative route

With the new Parent Portal it will be important to know how to find your child's schedule.  Watch this short video (Spanish Version) to learn how to navigate the new portal and locate your child's schedule before school begins on Aug. 12th

Here is a screen shot of a generic student schedule showing how to identify the A and B day connection classes.

At this time, we are not making adjustments to connections courses for students as the district’s decision to move to a phased in face-to-face model will result in a significant number of connections changes prior to the end of August.

If there is a concern about a Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies class, please email the assigned grade level Assistant Principal:

  • STEP 4 | Update Student Information

Using the portal you can update your student's contact information.

  • STEP 5 | My Payment Plus

    Beginning a New School Year

With the start of a new school year, it is important each family reviews important documents such as the student handbook among others before school starts.  We have all the relevant documents loaded into My Payments Plus for your convenience.  Please take a few moments to review and acknowledge that you have seen these documents.

  • STEP 6 | Free and Reduced Lunch Application

Did you know that special programs and funding for local districts and schools is often determined by the percentage of students qualifying for free and reduced lunch? Also, free and reduced lunch can qualify families for public assistance which for many families has proved vital during this pandemic.  While the details of breakfast and lunch service are still being developed, our school can still benefit by applying for the free and reduced lunch program.

It is important to note that each school year families must re-apply for free and reduced meals even if your child received free and reduced meals during the 2019-20 school year.

The online application and district information is available at the following link:
