    Area of Focus

    Foundations of Computer Programming covers a variety of topics including hardware identification, problem solving, software development, and the creation of digital products.  Students will develop a working knowledge of computer hardware by interacting with a disassembled computer and identifying  components, as well as design and create  computer programs using the principles of computational thinking.  Throughout the semester students will have the opportunity to apply computational thinking skills across a variety of projects.  This sixth grade connections class provides an introductory look at careers in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering.
