The purpose of the Congressional Academy Club (available to sophomores and juniors who complete an application) is to expose students to learning opportunities that help them better understand the interworking and levers of our local government.   Students participate in self-directed and GCCE-planned learning opportunities to gain knowledge of their community and the leadership of their community. Students will participate in learning with County Commissioners. At the conclusion of the learning, students are invited on a trip to educationally relevant locations at no expense to the student (other than souvenirs).
