The Science National Honor Society (SNHS) recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement in the sciences, integrity, and contribution to the scientific community. The goal of this organization is to develop a new group of young thinkers who will be the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America. Eligible Juniors and Seniors will be invited to apply in August of each year. Requirements: In order to be eligible to join SNHS, students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 across all classes and a GPA of at least 3.5 across all science classes. They must also be currently enrolled in at least one science class and have successfully completed at least one honors/gifted level science course. Finally, all candidates for membership must demonstrate strong moral and ethical character as described in the school code of conduct, as well as participate in the school science fair during the year of their membership.
