March 4-8, 2024: Themed Dress Up Days

This is a Mill Creek tradition! Please be aware that school rules regarding dress code will be enforced. Here is a breakdown of the dress-up day schedule:

      • Monday, March 4th: BBQ Dad vs Soccer Mom Day: Dress like you’re ready to grill out or heading out to the sports field to watch your kid play. Remember that you cannot bring dangerous utensils to school. Students will receive their crown for Friday in their LA class to give them time to decorate, if they choose. Students without a LA class can get a crown from Mrs. Summerlin in A104.

      • Tuesday, March 5th: Senior Citizen Day: This one pretty much explains itself. As a reminder, you may not use any wheeled devices to get around, unless you have a doctor-prescribed medical requirement for one.

      • Wednesday, March 6th: Rhyme Without Reason Day: Without or without a partner, think of two things that rhyme, but maybe not go together and wear that. (Ex. Chips Ahoy and Baby Boy)

      • Thursday, March 7th: Tacky Tourist Day: Think of the most extreme tourist look you can and dress like that.

      • Friday, March 8th: Kindergarten and Crown Day: Step back to when you first started school. Dress like you’re in Kindergarten and wear your decorated crown!

    March 11-15, 2024: Prize Week

    • During this week, random drawings will occur for prize giveaways. Last year, prizes varied from gift cards to free bowling games, to a catered lunch for a group of friends, and we had a grand prize of a Nintendo Switch. We are still finalizing the prizes this year, but this gives you an idea of the variety of offerings.

    • To participate in Prize Week, students will fill out a form during the week of March 4th to be entered into raffles throughout the week. The link for the form will be provided during Homeroom, placed on the big screen in the Commons, and on the Mill Creek Senior Instagram account (mill_creek_seniors). Entries will stop being accepted on Sunday, March 10th at 11:59 PM.

    • We would certainly appreciate any donations for prize week. In the past, parents have donated gift cards, gift baskets, gift certificates, etc. Donations are not required for participation. If you do donate, we also cannot guarantee that your student will win as prizes are selected via random drawings.

    March 18-22, 2024: Treat Week

    • Monday: Class of 2024 Yard Sign: Given out during all lunches. These yard signs are NOT personalized. If you would like a personalized sign, you can order one at Students without an on-campus lunch can pick up from Mr. Holbrook in A112 starting the NEXT day. Students who are completely off campus can communicate with Mr. Holbrook to pick up.

    • Tuesday: Kona Ice Truck: Given out during all lunches

    • Wednesday: Ray’s Doughnuts for Breakfast: Given out in Commons before 1st period (6:30-7:00)

    • Thursday: Chick-Fil-A Chicken Biscuits: Given out in Commons before 1st period (6:30-7:00)

    • Friday: Tailgate-Themed Senior Lunch: Lunch will be catered and seniors will come to the football practice field during the student's assigned lunch period. Seniors will not have homeroom on this day.  Bring your sunglasses, beach towels/blankets, frisbees/footballs/etc., and wear your future or favorite college/pro-t-shirt and gear! A catered lunch will be provided.

Students with modified schedules (dual enrollment, Grayson, etc) are welcome and encouraged to participate in all events.

**In order to participate in the Senior Lunch, senior dues MUST be paid by February 29th!

***Students will receive tickets for the biscuits, Kona Ice, and doughnuts the week of 3/11. They will need to keep up with these tickets, if they want to get treats the following week.
