Welcome to Archer High School!
This section is designed for rising 9th-grade students and their parents to navigate the process of registering for courses for the 2024-2025 school year. If you have any questions you may email ArcherHS.registration@gcpsk12.org.

Registration Instructions
Step One - Select Electives
Students will explore elective options through the website and the elective fairs at McConnell Middle School and Archer High School.
Students will be given a physical form for them to write down their top five elective course requests in order of preference. Students and parents will both sign the form and return the form to their homeroom teacher at McConnell Middle School by January 26th.
Students will electronically enter their top five elective course requests in order of preference the week of January 29th.
Step Two - Course Request Verification
In mid-February, parents and students will be provided with the first of two opportunities to verify that their student's course requests are correct. If there are any changes, they can be made at this time.
At this time, the list of courses will include the following:

Health and Personal Fitness - These are one-semester classes that are graduation requirements

Core Classes - Math, science, social studies, and language arts will be listed along with their levels

Pre-Determined Elective Courses - Students that are currently in courses at the middle school that will automatically transfer to Archer include Spanish, French, Band, Orchestra, and Chorus
Step Three - Final Course Request Verification
In the late Spring, parents and students will have one last opportunity to make changes to elective options.
