Rising 10-12th grade students interested in learning more about Archer High School's dual enrollment program for the school year 2024-2025 are invited to review updated information & mandatory resources/forms: permission forms, procedures form, dual enrollment information google form, checklist, timeline, and Archer Dual Enrollment deadlines in their child's eCLASS--Archer HS Counseling Corner--Dual Enrollment--SY 24-25 Dual Enrollment (deadline to turn in Archer and GCPS forms to AHS Counseling Office for 24-25: March 29, 2024).
Archer High School Dual enrollment mandatory advisement groups for students will occur in February/March 2024; announcements on specific dates will be announced on the Archer HS Counseling Corner eCLASS main page and on Archer HS Counseling social media platforms by the end of January. Students need to complete several steps and submit mandatory dual enrollment paperwork to Archer High School prior to attending the February/March advisement groups.
Please note that there are multiple steps to the dual enrollment process and deadlines that students need to adhere to. Please see the information in eCLASS for more information. Archer students may opt to be part-time dual enrollment students (taking a combination of 6 classes across Archer and the Dual Enrollment college) or full-time dual enrollment students (taking minimum of 4 classes at the Dual Enrollment college each semester).
GCPS/Archer HS does not provide transportation to Dual Enrollment colleges/universities. As of Spring 2020, Georgia House Bill 444 limits dual enrollment to rising 10th through 12th graders and the funding cap is 30 credits hours at the college for entire high school career. 10th graders are limited to taking CTAE elective classes at a technical college (ex.: Gwinnett Technical College) and 10th graders are ineligible for Archer HS parking passes.
During the Archer HS registration process, students pursuing Dual Enrollment for 24-25 MUST register for a full load of classes at Archer High School for the upcoming 24-25 school year. Once an Archer HS student goes through the DE Archer HS process, applies to, and is accepted to the DE college, attends DE college orientation, registers for the DE classes, and submits their upcoming college schedule their Archer HS schedule to eCLASS--Archer DE Schedule Adjustment SY 24-25 (google form) then their Archer schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
