GOC Testing Information

  • Testing Expectations:

All students taking courses through Gwinnett Online Campus are expected to complete final exams in-person in a proctored setting by a GCPS certified staff member. Exceptions are not granted for honor graduates or seniors. Failure to attend a required test will result in a 0% for the final exam grade.

All students taking Carnegie Unit courses in 8th – 12th grade will be asked to complete a performance final exam that may be completed at home.  All objective final exams will be completed on campus. In-person final exams assist with credibility checks and promotion criteria.  Students may be asked to complete two final exams per testing session.  Therefore, a student with 6 classes on their schedule may need to attend final exams over 3-days.  Milestone End of Course classes will require students to take the Milestone and a district assessment. Milestone courses are semester 2 only of Algebra I, Biology, 11th American Literature & Composition, and U.S. History. Final exams are scheduled to take students up to 90 minutes per exam.  Students must arrive to their testing location at the specified time to ensure that students are allotted their 90 minutes per exam and testing can begin on time. When students are taking final exams in a proctored setting, students will not be able to use outside resources such as notes, websites, translators, dictionaries, and smart devices.  All smart devices will be collected during testing sessions and are the responsibility of the student. Students are expected to bring the following items to testing sessions mask, pencil, and photo ID. Calculators will be available online for students. Gwinnett Online Campus does not back fill student grades with final exam scores.

    Accommodations:
