Readers Rally

  • The Gwinnett Readers Rally is a quiz bowl-style competition for students in grades 4-12.  Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books.  Each Gwinnett County school may send one team of up to 10 players to the Readers Rally.  For the 2023-2004 school year, there were 87 teams that participated in the annual county-wide competition at Peachtree Ridge High School.  The following teams were the county champions for the 2023-2024 school year: Roberts Elementary School, Bay Creek Middle School, and GSMST.  The Gwinnett County Readers Rally Competition is typically held the third weekend in February each year.

Book Mobile

  •

The GCPS Book Mobile program- the district's traveling libraries- made it's debut in the summer of 2017.  The mission of this literacy initiative is to put books into students' hands and encourage them to build personal libraries.  The two Book Mobiles, called Pow and Explore, operate the entire year with both a school year program and a summer program.  Click on the picture to learn more about this amazing program!
