  • G Suite (Google) Account Troubleshooting

With personal and GCPS Google accounts, teachers and students may have trouble accessing Google applications, even when the creator of the document has shared it correctly. This can be caused by the defaults created on the computers or other devices teachers and students are working from.

Please use a guest browser or log out of all other Google/Gmail accounts prior to logging in to your Student Portal, eCLASS or your GCPS Google account.  You can also add the GCPS profile information on the Chrome profile using the directions below.

Click here to access directions on how to add your child's GCPS account to the Chrome profile for the device your child is using.

Please contact your teacher should you have any questions.

  • Tablets and Mobile Devices

    General Information:

Most native components in eCLASS are compatible with Android Tablets, i-Pads or mobile devices and should function properly.

Any resource you are directed to outside of eCLASS that contains Adobe Flash will not function on an i-Pad or Android tablet.

Google Workspace for Education (Google Apps):

If you choose to use Google apps (such as Drive, Docs, Slides, Classroom, etc.) on an Anroid Tablet, i-Pad or other mobile device you will need to download those apps from the Google Play or the Apple App Store.

For this option to work you will also need to add your GCPS Google account to your device.

To add a GCPS account to your mobile device:

    1. Open the account settings or Add an Account option specific to your device.
    2. During the account setup process when prompted to enter your Google email address using the format below.
      1. Student G-Suite email addresses are {firstname}.{lastname}{last 4 digits of student ID}@g.gcpsk12.org.
      2. Example:  John Doe with a student id of 201987654 would have an email address of john.doe7654@g.gcpsk12.org
      3. Please note these email addresses are not able to send and receive emails from outside the domain.
    3. Continue with the process and you wil be presented with the student portal log in screen.  Your student will know the username and password and will be able to log in.
    4. Once the account is added you will have the option to select your personal Gmail account or your GCPS G-Suite account within each Google App.  Ensure you have selected the GCPS account to have full access to your assignments.

Should you need additional support please contact your teacher.
