Book Boutique

The Lovin Book Boutique is a part of our PBIS Rewards program. Students may choose to purchase a new book with 5 Tiger Tokens. Teachers will give the student a pass to visit the Lovin Book Boutique right after morning announcements.

Each month a different grade level has the opportunity to participate in book club with Ms. Diaz. Fifth grade students read Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valor by Ally Carter and completed a digital escape room when they met together. Third grade read The Wild Robot by Peter Brown and created their own robot when they met together. Second graders were able to choose any book from the Dory Fantasmagory series. When they met together, they shared about their books and completed some fun word searches and mazes that were all about Dory! First grade will be choosing their own books from the Magic Treehouse series. We love reading!

Lovin News Network is our morning news crew. Our news crew writes, runs, and produces our morning announcements every morning. Our news crew is open to all 5th grade students. News crew runs on a 6-8 week rotation. All students interested in participating in news crew must submit applications for each rotation. From the applications submitted, 10 students are selected to be a part of our news crew. All students who apply are expected to show our TIGER Traits on and off camera and be in good academic standing. These students also are expected to receive signed permission from their homeroom teacher and a parent or guardian. Once a student has served on the news crew, they may re-apply to return as a producer! Producers help the new crews learn their jobs, serve as substitutes if a student is absent, and make sure the show runs smoothly. The last 5-6 weeks of school, our 4th grade students have an opportunity to serve on the news crew to get a taste of what Lovin News Network is all about! We love working with our news crew!
