    The goal of the MVHS math department is to develop within our students an understanding and appreciation of mathematics. Through the use of mathematics literacy students achieve mastery of the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) through an integrated discipline-based content. Courses use mathematical technology to further understanding of abstract concepts. Many of the required courses for graduation are offered in levels of college prep and honors with Advanced Placement (AP) courses for college credit offered in Calculus and Statistics.
