Social emotional learning is very important to us at Head Elementary. We want to teach children skills like self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills. These skills are important for success in school, at work, and in life.

With that in mind, the Media Center, in collaboration with PE, is sponsoring The Media Center Games and the Kids Teaching Kids Programs. By watching videos made by teachers or students, students try to teach themselves a challenging skill. These skills are challenging, but attainable.  

Our first challenge is the Basketball layup. We created videos on "How to Do a Basketball Layup". As students master the skill, they are invited to be instructors in our Kids Teaching Kids program.
