PARKING REGULATIONS
Since bus transportation is provided for all students, students who choose to drive to school do so at their own risk. Parking permits will be available to a limited number of students. School personnel have the authority to regulate the operation of motor vehicles on school property and property used by the school with permission of the owner. Car trouble is considered unexcused for attendance reasons. Students and parents should read the parking application and agreement carefully before signing. Here are a few reminders about student parking at DHS:
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have valid proof of insurance.
- Fill out the 2024-2025 online parking application here with a parent or guardian.
- Purchase the $70 parking permit fee on My Payments Plus.
- Visit the Student Services office before school (6:50am-7:10am) or afterschool (2:10pm-2:30pm).
- Bring proof of My Payments Plus receipt.
- Bring a COPY of your Drivers License and Insurance Card.
- If you are a dual enrollment, work study or peer leader student, you may apply to park in the 500 Lot (Football Lot), with a copy of your schedule. These spaces are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.
- After all these things are done, you will receive your permit number and decal, and then sign in person that you have...
- received your decal,
- understand and agree to all the expectations and regulations as presented in the online application,
- and that you will place the decal on your vehicle in the proper location within 24 hours of receiving your decal.
- Temporary parking permits will be available for pick up during Orientation on July 31st, as well as before school (6:50am-7:10am) and afterschool (2:10pm-2:30pm). You must submit your payment of $70 on My Payments Plus and provide a copy of your license and insurance at the time of pick-up to the team. Temporary passes will have expiration dates and those using expired passes will be subject to a fine and/or being booted. Permanent passes will be available for pick-up beginning August 19th before or afterschool in Student Services.
