The Fourth Grade Team is excited and ready for the year ahead!

Fourth Grade at the Fort consists of an exciting journey through all subjects and activities that will challenge students and enable students to achieve success through a positive learning environment. As a fourth grade team, our goal is foster student’s academic and social skills to make them successful for many years to come.

• In reading, we are focusing on main idea and text structure for non-fiction.
• For math, we are focusing on multiplication and division before moving on to fractions.
• For science we are focusing on simple machines before moving on to weather and the water cycle.
• For social studies, we are finishing government before moving on to U.S. westward expansion.  Of special interest will be a project based learning activity in which students will plan a pretend trip.
