Welcome to the Harmony Elementary Media Center

Our media center is Harmony’s engine for reading, writing, learning, and ideas.  We provide a wide range of high-interest materials to support student self-selected reading as well as Gwinnett’s AKS curriculum.

We offer a wide range of literacy lessons and experiences in our media center.  Whole classes, small groups, and individuals are welcome to come to the media center for research support and guidance.

We create opportunities for students to engage in a wide range of literacy activities. We also encourage ethical use of information and digital citizenship.

    Reading Suggestions

We are constantly adding to our collection.  Drop by the media center so we can help you find the right book for you!

  •  Circulation

Harmony students in Kindergarten and first grade can check out one book.  Students in second through fifth grades can check out two books. We also recently started circulating magazines to fourth and fifth grade students.  All materials can be borrowed for two weeks.

We encourage students to read widely, choosing books that they are excited about. We are happy to provide guidance and assistance to every reader so they can find their next favorite book.
