I started my career in GCPS education in 2013.  I also taught classes in children’s literature, writing, and reading at the University of Georgia.  I earned my master’s degree in Instructional Technology and my Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education from the University of Georgia.  As a National Writing Project Teacher Consultant, I have a passion for writing and creative, critical thinking. I have authored three children’s books as well as many articles for teachers and researchers.  I love picture books and poetry.  My favorite author is Jacqueline Woodson.
