  • Summer School and Credit Recovery Options

    Students are limited to TWO 0.5 credit classes in any combination of the options offered through Duluth’s Summer Program, GCPS Face to Face Summer School, or Gwinnett Online Campus. Students can also take up to TWO Georgia Virtual Credit Recovery classes through our local DHS CR option. More information about each option is below. 

    1. Duluth Summer School is free. To qualify for tuition, a student must be retaking a course he/she previously failed.
    2.  Students may choose GCPS Face to Face Summer School or Gwinnett Only Campus at a cost of $250/class. (More information below)

    Students can also take up to TWO Georgia Virtual Credit Recovery classes through our local DHS Credit Recovery (CR) option if the student finished the course with a final grade of 50-69. The NCAA has placed restrictions on the non-traditional and credit recovery courses for eligibility.  It is the student and parent's responsibility to verify that any non-traditional and credit recovery courses will not negatively impact NCAA eligibility prior to taking the course.
