As the newly appointed Principal of Duluth Middle School, I am incredibly excited and honored to join the Duluth Strong family! Having served alongside Ms. Kinchen before her appointment at Duluth Middle School, I am thrilled to continue this journey with you and her as she starts her new role as Principal of Duluth High School. I plan to meet and interact with parents, faculty, and students throughout July to learn more about the Duluth Middle School community.
Before joining Duluth Middle School, I spent 22 years in different teaching and leadership roles in education. For the last five years, I was the Assistant Principal at McClure Health Science High School. I have a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Music Education, an Educational Specialist Leadership degree from Mercer University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Walden University.
Every child needs a champion—someone who remains persistent, never gives up on them, and understands the power of connection. In today's fast-moving world, I’m excited to be one who champions our students through family connections. Our strength together as a family is our greatest treasure. As a father to six children between 14 and 24 years old, I understand how crucial a positive middle school experience is in shaping our students' futures. By working closely together, I am confident we can fulfill your child's social, emotional, and academic needs.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve the Duluth community in this new role. I look forward to meeting you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
