• What is PBIS?

Here at CMS, we are committed to helping every child become successful in the classroom and the communities in which they live. We are very excited about continuing our initiative called Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS).

PBIS is designed to teach and motivate kids to make the personal choices necessary to thrive in our society. We reinforce the positive choices through various acknowledgements throughout the school year.

  • Stamps and Recognition

Stamps are currency that can be used at the PBIS store, to enter into giveaways, for lunch outside, and for entry into Ramapalooza in December and May. The number of stamps required for specific items will be indicated to your students.

  • Events

Chick-fil-A Biscuit Sales - $5 for a Chick-fil-A biscuit on select days each month.
Brusters Blue Pop Ice - $2 during lunch period
Ramapalooza - all students may purchase entry using stamps (20 stamps, plus 5 addtional stamps for each Step received that semester. Students with a referral may not attend that semester.

  • Volunteering, Funding and "in kind" Donations

We are asking individuals and businesses to invest in PBIS by either donating products that would be attractive to teenagers or by donating funds to help us purchase products. Donated products can be in the form of gift cards, store merchandise, services, etc., and they can be dropped off in the front office.

    Previous donated items have included:

    • Hawks tickets
    • Falcons tickets
    • Georgia Aquarium tickets
    • Movie gift cards
    • Wireless headphones
    • Fernbank Science Center tickets

We ALWAYS need bottled water donated for various events throughout the year. These can be dropped off in the front office and earmarked for PBIS.

If you would like to volunteer to help, we ALWAYS need help with Ramapalooza. Mark your calendar and look for an email closer to the events.
