Community Letter

Dear Shiloh Middle School Staff, Parents, and Guardians,

Clear and transparent two-way communication is a core value at Shiloh Middle School. It is our commitment to keep each and every staff member and family updated about important developments at your school. With that in mind, I wanted to share with you that Mr. Bess will be transitioning to a new role within Gwinnett County Public Schools.

Dr. Charlotte Sadler, a veteran educator, will assume Mr. Bess’ duties on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is named. Dr. Sadler is a retired Gwinnett County Public School principal with more than 35 years of experience. Dr. Sadler has also served as interim principal in the Shiloh Cluster supporting schools for the past two years. She will begin serving the Shiloh Middle School community on Monday, June 3, 2024.

We understand this news may be unexpected. Dr. Sadler is committed to providing strong support and leadership, thus ensuring a smooth transition for the Shiloh school community. The process of finding a permanent replacement is underway. In the meantime, we encourage you to welcome Dr. Charlotte Sadler to the Shiloh Middle School community and feel free to reach out to her with any questions.

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,
Dr. Al Taylor
Chief of Schools
