A.T.L.A.S Club
A.T.L.A.S (Alliance To Lead And Serve) is a special program that will positively impact our 4th & 5th grade boys. The purpose of the program is to enhance boys' social, educational, and personal development. It will also provide a forum to discuss issues of concern and improve harmony among boys.

Broadcast Team
At Simonton Elementary, our morning announcements are broadcasted through the school. As a member of this team, 5th Grade students will have the opportunity to produce and host the daily morning news show.

The Simonton Chorus is a performance based ensemble where students will participate in rehearsals and performances. The Simonton singers will perform at various concerts here at school and in the community.

First LEGO League Challenge Robotics Team
LEGO Robotics Team is built around theme-based Challenges that engage children ages 9 to 16 in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST Core Values, which emphasize teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce.
The FLL Challenge Team is a competition LEGO Robotics team. Students work together to develop a plan for a real-world problem, build robots to complete challenges and learn about the Core Values of First LEGO League. We can only take 10 team members, and participants will be chosen based off of their essays on their applications.

First LEGO League Discover Robotics Team
The FLL Discover Team is an introductory LEGO Robotics team. Students work together to develop a plan for a real-world problem, build a model out of LEGO and get introduced to the Core Values of First LEGO League.

First LEGO League Explore Robotics Team
The FLL Explore Team is an exploratory LEGO Robotics team for 2nd-3rd grade students. Students work together to identify a real-world problem and develop a plan to use a robot to solve that problem. The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) promotes excellence in academic achievement, involvement in leadership and service activities, and demonstration of good character. Simonton Elementary School's chapter will include select 4th and 5th grade students who excel academically and model exceptional responsibility.

Readers Rally
Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in grades four through twelve. Its mission is to promote reading among students who desire to share their love of reading with others. Students read books from a district-selected book list and participate in discussion and activites pertaining to those books. The club will culminate in a school competition which will determine the team of 10 students who will advance to the county competition in the Spring.

Student Council
Elementary school is one of the important first steps in a lifelong journey of learning. Students are molded into proper behavior and learn vital skills that will prepare them for advanced learning later in their education. An elementary student council presents a unique opportunity for young students to learn organization, leadership and teamwork skills and prepares them for later student government positions. As a leadership program, students will utilize their skills to help improve the school & community.
