On a Digital Learning Day, teachers will post assignments on their eCLASS pages. This includes specials teachers as well.

    • Elementary school assignments will be posted by 8:00 AM.

Classroom teachers will be holding a one-hour live Zoom session and monitoring their eCLASS page throughout the entire school day.  If you or your student have any questions, please send an email or ParentSquare message to the teacher.

We understand that many of you have siblings, both here at Simonton and at the Middle or High Schools in our area.  With this being said, each student will need to log in to his/her Student Portal/My eCLASS page individually.

    A few Helpful Reminders:

    • Students log-in through the Student Portal and will select their eCLASS account
    • Student User ID = student ID number (this is used for lunch, testing, and in the Media Center)
    • If you forgot your password, please contact your teacher

    Scheduled Digital Learning Days

For the 2024-2025 school year, there are four Digital Learning Days scheduled throughout the year:

    • Tuesay, November 5
    • Friday, February 7
    • Friday, March 14

    Unscheduled Digital Learning Days

Any school closure will be communicated using ParentSquare, social media, the GCPS website, and local news outlets. For more information regarding inclement weather procedures, please visit the GCPS website.

Our teachers will post assignments on their eCLASS pages.  If you have a question about any assignments, please contact your child's teacher by sending them an email or ParentSquare message.

  • How do I log in?

Students will use the My eCLASS Student Portal to log into their eCLASS pages to locate their assignments for the day.  Depending on the grade level, some students may navigate to their teacher's Google Classroom as well.

    Log in Information:

User ID = student ID number
    Password = student's birthdate (mmddyyyy)

For example, if you were born on March 22, 2016, your password would be 03222016.

    2. Select "New User" (some may have the option to "Add Person") at the bottom of the screen

  • Tablets/Ipads/Mobile Devices

Most native components in eCLASS are compatible with Anroid Tablets, i-Pads or mobile devices and should function properly.

Any resource you are directed to outside of eCLASS that contains Adobe Flash will not function on an i-Pad or Android tablet.

    G-Suite (Google Apps):

If you choose to use G-Suite (Google) apps (such as Drive, Docs, Slides, Classroom, etc.) on an Anroid Tablet, i-Pad or other mobile device you will need to download those apps from the Google Play or the Apple App Store.

For this option to work you will also need to add your GCPS G-Suite account to your device.

To add a GCPS account to your mobile device:

    1. Open the account settings or Add an Account option specific to your device and add a Google account.
    2. During the account setup process when prompted to enter your Google email address using the format below.
      • Student G-Suite email addresses are {firstname}.{lastname}{last 4 digits of student ID}@g.gcpsk12.org.
      • Example:  John Doe with a student id of 123987654 would have an email address of john.doe7654@g.gcpsk12.org
      • Please note these email addresses are not able to send and receive emails from outside the domain.
    3. Continue with the process and you will be presented with the student portal log in screen.  Your student will know the username and password and will be able to log in.
    4. Once the account is added you will have the option to select your personal Gmail account or your GCPS G-Suite account within each Google App.  Ensure you have selected the GCPS account to have full access to your assignments.

What happens after you clear this info

After you clear cache and cookies:

    • Some settings on sites get deleted. For example, if you were signed in, you’ll need to sign in again.
    • If you turn sync on in Chrome, you’ll stay signed into the Google Account you’re syncing to in order to delete your data across all your devices.
    • Some sites can seem slower because content, like images, needs to load again.

    How cache & cookies work

    • Cookies are files created by sites you visit. They make your online experience easier by saving browsing data.
    • The cache remembers parts of pages, like images, to help them open faster during your next visit.
