Meet our Library Media Specialist, Ms. Palin

I have been a Media Specialist since 2016. I worked at a Title 1 elementary school in Maryland for the first 6 years, where I was a member of the Black Eyed Susan Picture Book Committee for several years. My goal here at Knight Elementary is to create a welcoming environment for students, teachers and families, which promotes reading and digital literacy.

Our mission is to ensure that all media center patrons become effective and efficient users of information and life-long learners.

The Knight Media Program strives to support the school’s curriculum and instructional goals. The focus of the media team will be on building collaborative relationships with the students and staff, emphasizing the use of instructional technology, and providing quality resources that encourage reading across all content areas.
