Student Check-out Policy

All students may check out books for up to three weeks.

• Kindergarten students may check out one book.
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders may check out two books.
• All grade levels will come with their class to the media center for book checkout.

Overdue and Lost Book Policy

• Students with an overdue book will not be allowed to check out books.
• Teachers are asked to encourage students to return books on time.
• If a student has an overdue book for more than 30 days, the book is automatically marked as “lost” and the parents will be sent an email, a yellow notice in their child's Friday Folder, or a notice in the mail requesting their assistance in locating the book.

Gwinnett County School Board policy states that student records may be withheld at the end of the year until a student returns library materials or pays for their replacement.
