Welcome to the greatest middle school in the nation! My name is Jordyn Butts and I serve as the 6th grade counselor at Trickum. I am a graduate of Southern Adventist University, where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology as well as a Masters in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. I served as a school counselor in Dekalb County between 2018 and 2023. Through various jobs, I have been dedicated to working with young people for the past 13 years of my life. I believe youth are the future and that happier and healthier adults are developed by instilling good character traits as children. It is my honor and privilege to help guide students in their first introduction to the emotional, academic, and social challenges of middle school. I look forward to helping parents navigate the middle school landscape to meet the goals of their children while providing a safe place to grow.
