Mr. Durrant Williams - Principal
Durrant Williams transitioned to Berkmar High School from his position as principal of GIVE Center East. Williams is a former assistant principal and counselor at Berkmar High School from 2006-13. He served as associate principal of Shiloh High School from 2013-14 before moving to GIVE Center East. Williams' background as a school counselor extends back to 1998 at Palm Beach County's school district in Florida.

Ms. Divette Beck - Assistant Principal
Divette Beck began her career with GCPS in 1996. Her career includes 16 years at the elementary level (Annistown Elementary and Walnut Grove Elementary) and the remaining at Berkmar High School. She has extensive experience serving in both general education and special education classrooms. She is honored to work at Berkmar as an Assistant Principal helping to guide the lifes of our students. She and her husband have two children that graduated from Collins Hill High School and went on to graduate from Auburn University and the University of Georgia.

Ms. Sandi Bennett - Assistant Principal
Sandi Bennett has been with GCPS for 23 years. Her career includes 16 years serving the middle school population at both Jones and Duluth Middle Schools. Her high school experience includes time at both Mill Creek and Berkmar. Ms. Bennett holds both a Specialist and a Masters Degree from Georgia State University, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. She and her husband have a son who will attend Berkmar when he enters high school.

Dr. Linda Clark-Davis - Community School Director
Prior to joining GCPS, I began my teaching career in Morgan County Public Schools, where I worked at both the high and middle school levels. Along with my colleagues, I rejoice in our experiences, collegiality, and our mission. I am honored to be a Community School Director at Berkmar High School, and I eagerly accept the responsibility of serving my system, our teachers, our students, and their families.
Through my beliefs and actions, I will promote the success of ALL BHS students by leading and sustaining a school culture that focuses on student learning and empowers the professional growth of our staff.

Dr. Kenton Johnson - Assistant Principal
Dr. Kenton Johnson began his career in education in 2008 at Westlake High School in south Fulton County, where he served as a paraprofessional for four years. He then moved to Shiloh High School in Gwinnett County Public Schools, where he served as head counselor and assistant principal for nine years. Dr. Johnson began working at Berkmar High School as an assistant principal supporting counseling and Athletics departments.

Mr. David Marquez - Assistant Principal
Mr. Marquez has been in education for over 20 years. He started his career, in his hometown of Aurora, IL. He started out as a Special Education teacher and then a Social Studies teacher for 6 years at East Aurora High School (Go Tomcats!). He made the move to administration serving as a Dean of Students at the same school. He eventually moved onto to Glenbard North High School (Go Panthers!) in 2007, also as a Dean of Students. Mr. Marquez made the move to Georgia in 2011, working with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. In 2012, he was with Fulton County Schools, serving as a Program Specialist until 2015.
Mr. Marquez is an avid Chicago sports fan, Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Blackhawks. He enjoys playing reading, music, and cycling.

Dr. Dwayne Pettus - Assistant Principal
Dr. Dwayne Pettus received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Alabama A&M University and started his career teaching third and fourth grade. After receiving a master’s degree from the University of West Georgia in Middle School, he taught sixth grade Language Arts and Social Sciences. His journey continued as he received a leadership certificate from the University of Georgia and began to work on his doctoral degree at Argosy University of Sarasota. Shortly afterwards, he received a promotion to be a middle school assistant principal. His career consists of more than 22 years of experience.

Dr. Nia Vaughn - Assistant Principal
Dr. Nia Vaughn received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry ACS from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans and began her teaching career with Orleans Parish Public Schools. After receiving a Master’s degree from the University of New Orleans, Dr. Vaughn moved to Georgia where she became employed by Gwinnett County Public Schools. She has been a science educator for the past 25+ years, teaching Chemistry, Physics, Forensic Science and Accelerated Physical Science.
Dr. Vaughn loves the Saints, LSU,and all things Louisiana!
