    How do I join a club or activity at Northbrook?

    Some clubs and activities allow you to show up and join, while others require a permission form or registration. Club meeting dates and information about sign-ups are communicated on our scrolling announcements. If you have questions about a specific club or activity, please contact the faculty advisor.

  • Art Club

    Sponsor: Tricia Boston

    Purpose: Northbrook Middle School Art Club’s purpose is to allow students who are interested in art to participate in independent and collaborative art related activities. The Art Club is a place for students to continue developing their artistic skills, explore new art mediums, and collaborate with other creative individuals to enrich their school and community. 

    Planned Activities: Students will explore different media, techniques and tools while using their artistic abilities to create art for themselves, competitions, community, and fundraisers.

    Meeting Time: 8:00-8:55 AM

    Meeting Location: Art Room, Room 322

    Meeting Dates: EVERY 2nd and 4th Friday of each month

    How to Join: The club is open to all students, but space is limited (Only 50 SPOTS AVAILABLE). There is a $25.00 fee for the cost of supplies. This must be paid through MyPaymentsPlus. Permission slips and fees are due by September 13th 2024. Making your payment online locks in your spot.

  • Drama Club

    Purpose: Northbrook’s Drama Club is the club for all things performing arts. We are currently seeking actors, set designers, and backstage crew. 

    Planned Activities: Students work towards the production of a fall semester variety show and learn the basics of theater craft.

    How to Join: Interest Meeting is Thursday, September 5 from 4:30 to 5:15pm. Please pick up students promptly at 5:15pm in the front bus lanes.



  • Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

    Purpose/Mission.  Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs, develop competent, aggressive business leadership, strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work, create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise, encourage membership in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business and community, develop character, prepare for useful citizenship and foster patriotism, encourage and practice efficient money management, encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty, assist students in the establishment of occupational goals and to facilitate the transition from school to work.  FBLA is recognized by the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor as an integral part of a co-curricular approach to business and leadership education.

  • Heart & Sole: Girls on the Run

    Purpose: Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. 

    Planned Activities: Girls will meet twice a week after school to make connections, learn important life skills, get active and HAVE FUN! At the end of the season, girls will celebrate their accomplishment at the Girls on the Run 5K.

    Planned Activities: Members will read from a list of 10 books. We will discuss, practice our knowledge of books with practice questions, and prepare for the Gwinnett County Readers Rally Competition.

    Board Game Club

    Purpose: This club is a platform for students with a common interest in board games & chess to come together, have fun, and build relationships. The Strategists Club encourages creativity and confidence by bringing people together to boost strategic thinking skills, cooperation, and social interaction.

    Planned Activities: Students will play chess and a variety of board games (checkers, Uno, Phase 10, Connect 4, etc.).
