DRIVER'S ED 30/6 AT PRHS - $450
30 hours of classroom learning AND 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving

This course includes:

• 30 hours of in-person classroom learning at Peachtree Ridge High School. Dates listed below.
  
• 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving
  
  Driving times are based on instructor and student availability and are scheduled on a first-response basis. We strive to complete driving with students within 120 days from course completion.
  
  Students must complete the following BEFORE driving time can be scheduled:

• • Successfully complete the 30-hour course.
  • Pass the final exam.
  • Log 20 hours of driving time with a parent and be comfortable behind the wheel.

1. 1. Driver's Ed Contract
   2. Parent Student Safety Contract
   3. Proof of payment (MPP confirmation)
   4. Copy of learner's permit

Tentative Dates:
Below are the tentative dates for 2024-25*.

Session 1 - Fall
Oct/Nov 2024 - Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-8 PM
10/16, 10/21, 10/23, 10/28, 10/30, 11/4

ONLINE - $65
30 hours of classroom learning

This course includes:

• 30 hours of online learning modules completed at the student's own pace.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This course is available for ALL students and meets the Joshua's Law requirement.

Students should NOT speed through online modules. They MUST log 30 hours online in order to take the final exam.

Certificates of completion will be emailed within 2 business days of passing the final exam. There is no way to expedite the process. Please plan to complete the program at least 4-5 days before the driver's license test.

6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving 

This course includes:

• 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving
  
  Driving times are based on instructor and student availability and are scheduled on a first-response basis. We strive to complete driving with students within 120 days from course completion.
  
  Students must complete the following BEFORE driving time can be scheduled:
  
  
  • Successfully complete a 30-hour ONLINE course.
  • Log 20 hours of driving time with a parent and be comfortable behind the wheel.

1. 1. 6 hours BTW contract
   2. Parent Student Safety Contract
   3. Student Availability
   4. Proof of payment (MPP confirmation)
   5. Copy of learner's permit
   6. Copy of certificate of completion for 30 hours of Online Driver's Education.

After we receive all the required paperwork, we will assign you to an instructor. The instructor will reach out to you directly to schedule driving time.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This course alone (only driving) does not meet the Joshua Law requirement. 

This course is offered to students who have completed 30 hours of ONLINE Driver's Education.

Steps to register for Driver's Ed on MyPaymentsPlus:

1. Log in to MyPaymentsPlus
2. Click on Events & Activities
3. Search for Driver's Ed.
4. Select the class you want to register for. (You may see two options.)
   
   • Driver's Ed and Behind-the-Wheel (30 hours classroom and 6 hours of driving for $450.00)
   • Behind-the-Wheel (ONLY 6 hours DRIVING for $385.00)
5. Add to the Cart and proceed to checkout to register.
6. Email the required documents indicated above to Nina Hidalgo at nina.hidalgo@gcpsk12.org.
