  • The Video Production and Television Broadcast program will give you the chance to bring your ideas to life and tell exciting stories through the lens of a camera.

    This hands-on program prepares you to succeed in a college video production program or a career in this growing field by offering experience with the fundamental and advanced aspects of video production, using Avid-based, industry-standard equipment in our on-site full-scale television and video production studio.

    Spending time behind and in front of the camera, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of program formats including multiple-camera interviews, commercials, music videos, short films, and others. Producing the Grayson High School Announcements, a broadcast shown school-wide every Friday, gives you the chance to shine in the spotlight! These projects will also serve as the basis for a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills and creativity.

    Atlanta is a Top Ten market for careers in the field of Video Production and Television Broadcast, home to industry leaders such as CNN, Cartoon Network, Georgia Public Broadcasting, and several leading television network affiliates. Through field trips and guest speakers, you will meet these potential employers and learn about cutting-edge trends and techniques.

Degrees and Certifications:

Allison Falch

Allison Falch is the Audio Video Technology and Film instructor at Grayson Tech. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Education from Piedmont College. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Falch worked as a performer in live stage productions both home and abroad. She eventually turned to teaching as a career and has found the experience very rewarding. Although new to Grayson Tech, she has been teaching high school for 18 years and has been honored to receive local teaching awards such as the STAR Teacher and Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Falch enjoys teaching the AVTF course because it is a broad, engaging program where creativity meets technology.
