    Summer Health and PE 2024 - Academic Credit Courses!

    Does your student need to free up his or her schedule to allow for band, theater, chorus, orchestra, or athletics? If you answered yes, then you should consider allowing your student to take Health and Personal Fitness (PE) during the summer of 2023 through the Parkview Community School located at Parkview High School.

    Course Details

    • Class dates: Monday - Thursday, May 29 - June 27
    • Registration opens: March 1 
    • Registration deadline: Monday, May 20
    • $250 per class (Health + PE = $500)
    • These courses are virtual/online courses.
    • A computer with a camera is required.
    • Must have access to a fitness app.
    • Must record physical activity.
    • Please carefully review the complete course details in the registration packet.

    To sign up, please complete the registration packet, and bring your form to the Community School. You can also complete it digitally and email it to the Parkview Community School.

    Current GCPS students can pay for the course(s) online at MyPaymentsPlus (under the Community School heading). Be sure to select Parkview HS and NOT GOC.

    If you are not currently attending a GCPS school but will attend Parkview in August, you may pay for these courses in person via cash, money order, or credit card at the Community School office.

  • Spring Basketball Skills Academy (6th - 8th Grade Boys)

    The Spring Basketball Skills Academy is a great way to train the RIGHT way with proper mechanics and provides a chance to meet the Parkview High School coaches and players. 

    The program takes place from 4:35 PM to 6:00 PM at the Trickum Middle School gymnasium over 6 sessions: April 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29.
    Meetings will NOT go past 6:00 PM, so please have rides ready by 6:15 at the latest.
    Registration opens February 21.
    The cost is $130 and can be paid at MyPaymentsPlus through April 9. For more assistance, contact the Parkview Community School office at (770) 806-3796, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

  • Middle School Football Offensive Line Training

    Parkview High School Coach Brian Lane is offering an Offensive Lineman Foundation Development Academy for students in grades 6-8 on select Mondays & Wednesdays at Parkview High School.

    • February: 5, 7, 12, 21, 26, 28
    • March: 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 27
    • April: 8, 10

    Time: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

    Location: Field House Weight Room, Parkview High School (near the stadium)

    Cost: $200 for 15 sessions

  • Middle School Weightlifting (Boys & Girls)

    Parkview High School Coach Brian Lane is offering Weightlifting for 7th & 8th grade students in all sports on select Tuesdays & Thursdays at Parkview High School.

    • March: 5, 7, 12, 19, 26
    • April: 9, 11, 16

    Time: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

  • Online Driver Education

    You can take our online driver education course anytime, anywhere, on any device - wherever you have Internet access.

    About the course:

    • Licensed by the Georgia Department of Driver Services
    • Meets the Joshua's Law requirement for teen drivers
    • Required to obtain a Class D license if you are under 17
    • This course covers the 30-hour classroom portion of driver education. It does not include on-the-road instruction.
    • Cost: $65

  • PHS Behind the Wheel: Driving-Only Instruction

    Driving Only Instruction - Ongoing

    NOTE: Completion of the online course is required prior to registering for this training.

    Parkview Community School is now offering Driving Only Instruction. Get additional driving hours and behind-the-wheel instruction outside of our full Driver's Education course.

  • Registration and Payment

    We prefer that you register and pay online using MyPaymentsPlus. If you have never used MyPaymentsPlus, please create an account and then go to Manage Student and add your student by Student ID number. We also accept cash, money orders, debit cards, and most major credit cards. We are unable to accept checks. Some courses and events may require an additional form; please check course descriptions on this page for details.

    • Facility Use Forms are required for all reservations.
    • Forms should be submitted a week in advance to ensure that HVAC will be ordered in a timely manner.
