Never Been Absent
The Kanoheda NBA (Never Been Absent) Attendance program rewards those students who are here every day. All students who have perfect attendance from the previous quarter is recognized by their picture being taken and placed on the NBA wall while also attending an exclusive NBA party.
Perfect Attendance Class Contest
Another initiative that we have in place to improve our students' attendance is our Perfect Attendance class contest. Each day a class as a whole has perfect attendance they receive a letter in the words "Perfect Attendance". Once Perfect Attendance has been spelled out the class receives a Popsicle party. At the end of nine weeks the classes who won Popsicle parties enter
a drawing to win a Pizza Party!Peer Leaders
The Kanoheda Peer Leadership Program is a program designed to build leadership skills in upper grade students as well as provide assistance to students who may be having difficulty with acdemics. 4th and 5th grades students who excel academically and have proven to be responsible are invited to serve as peer leaders in this program.
PBIS Student of the Month
Each month one student from each class is selected by their teacher for displaying the Kanoheda expectations of being respectful, responsible and ready and honored at the PBIS award ceremony in front of their peers and parents while having their picture displayed on the PBIS board.
Weekend Snack Pack Program
By working with a local community program the Kanoheda Weekend Snack Pack program offers weekend food/snack donations once a week to our families who request assistance.
